According to the World Health Organization, Infertility, and sub-fertility “affect a significant proportion of humanity.” Data from the CDC shows that in the U.S alone, 6.1 million women ages 15-44 have difficulty getting or staying pregnant.
Difficulties with conception are not just limited to females, there are multiple factors that determine the ability to get pregnant. Data shows that the factors of infertility are split evenly between female factors, male factors and a combination of both male and female issues or unidentifiable concerns.
Currently, many of the options for people wanting to become pregnant include costly procedures and/or hormone altering drugs that come with significant side effects and high costs. Recent studies show the potential of another non-invasive option, hyperbaric therapy.
